networking meaning definition

What is it? What is networking? The word networking does not seem very human. It sounds like connecting a bunch of computers into a network.

The word networking sounds more like a technology term. The business people that use the word networking, are actually referring to the social interaction in a business environment where the agenda is to help connect business people into a community.

This is my own issue, I understand.

Another word that I have an issue with, is the confusion of what affiliate marketing is. Many people will say that affiliate marketing is like network marketing or multi level marketing. This is very far from the truth.

Granted, people that are working in a network marketing organization or a multi level marketing organization are affiliated with the company, but they are not actually doing affiliate marketing in my opinion.

To me, affiliate marketing is simply being the middleman between a product and a prospect. You are affiliated with the company that create the products and services, but you are not an employee of these companies. You are more of a contractor.

I think it is safe to say, that beginning speakers and also seasoned Professionals would be interested in these Keynote Speaker Tips to get more high paying gigs.

1. Be professional – One of the main things that in Event Planner wants in a Speaker is for them to be professional and respectful of the audience.

2. Keep in contact – It’s important to stay in communication with the event planner, so they can rest assured that you are on top of things. You don’t need to be obnoxious and call continuously, but check in once in a while to see if anything is changed.

3. Send a thank you – After your presentation, it is important that you keep in contact with the customer to make sure everything went as planned. Wouldn’t it be fun to hit the – magic shows las vegas strip – circuit with a group of your magician colleagues?

Personally, I have not been to Las Vegas for years. I recall going there as a kid, actually under age 21 and seeing people like Siegfried and Roy, Johnny Thompson, Jimmy Grippo, Dai Vernon, Daniel Cross, Paul Harris, Michael Skinner and many more.

There really was no David Copperfield back then. The TV magicians were Mark Wilson, Doug Henning and Bill Bixby.

On a sidenote, I really enjoyed working with Larry Anderson on the JawDroppers project. And thank you to the Mark Wilson Course on Magic for some of the content.

In this post, I am not going to reveal how to do the cups and balls magic trick because I think that is disrespectful.

It is disrespectful to the magicians that are currently performing this effect, and it is also disrespectful to the audience that enjoys seeing magic and experiencing that magical feeling.

The tricksters that expose magic and the secrets to the general public like on the Internet, are being selfish and just need an ego boost. They will justify the exposure claiming it is doing more for the magic community, however it is just exposing the secrets. The people that sincerely want to learn the magic, can learn from their peers and mentors, or invest some time energy and money into reading and purchasing the magic and the secret.

Certainly there will be those of you that will not agree with my philosophy, and that is fine. It is wrong, but it is fine.
