There are two important classifications of a “quantity” and they are scalar and vector. There is a primary difference between scalar and vector quantity and that is the scalar quantity is the one that is simply related to the magnitude of any quantity. The vector quantity is determined by both the magnitude and the direction of the physical quantity.
So then what does this mean?
Well, it’s complicated. But it does not need to be complicated.
