Think of Social Media, and act as you would act in real life at an in-person networking. Be kind and friendly and try not to be pathetic.
Social Media provides a “protection” for people, so they feel secure enough to speak their mind, and even be rude and offensive. Just because you have freedom of speech does not mean it is “right” to be rude and disrespectful.
When you are using Social Media, pretend that you are actually at networking events and talking with real human people face-to-face.
